OUR MISSION
Jane's Stories Press Foundation nurtures emerging and established writers who are underrepresented in the publishing industry,
focusing especially on writing by women over 50 and under 24, and by women of color.
We offer workshops, an educational publishing program, and a helping hand.
We work with writers to
*help end the isolation of writing;
*make time to write;
*learn to better perform our work in public; and
*move our work into print as working writers in the larger community.

FRIENDS OF JANE membership entitles you to:
* the Jane's Monthly Reader newsletter by Glenda Bailey-Mershon with announcements and features on our member writers
* Ready, Set, Send!, a monthly newsletter by Linda Mowry that includes calls for sumissions and spotlights on publishing industry
trends
* access to the Jane's Stories listserv where you can join discussions on writing, publishing, and promoting your work
* help starting a Jane Circle of writers where you live or via email or video conference for interest groups
* invitations to V-Circles (Virtual Circles) where you may meet writers from across the USA
* 20 % discounts on Jane's Stories workshops and retreats
* Jane Circles are eligible to apply for small grants that speak to our mission, such as chapbooks and presentations

Friends of Jane membership is only $30 per year! ($16-21 for students and seniors. Please select the fee you can pay from
within that range.) Reduced fees are payable by check or by calling 1-800-603-6065.)
Please note: Membership in Friends of Jane is available on a sliding scale for writers on fixed incomes and students, and
may be waived for special circumstances. We cannot process a variable payment through Paypal, but you may send your reduced
fee by check along with your application. Be sure and check the box for reduced or waived membership below, so we won't think
the cat ate it!
